Belgrade B2

This new 300-seat flexible theatre supplements the main auditorium which holds an audience of 858, making The Belgrade Theatre one of the largest regional producing theatres in Britain.

The installation includes two seating galleries and a technical gallery, as well as three moving technical bridges. Floor-fixed seating is re-configurable, making the space adaptable. The new steel-framed superstructure has few points of contact with the concrete, ensuring a fast installation and simple future alterations. Galleries cantilever out from the walls with set-back vertical ties to maintain sightlines.

Extensive prefabrication enabled on-site works to be completed in 12 weeks.
